Townsend Locals Elected as Southwest Montana Tourism Board Officers

Southwest Montana is a designated regional non-profit organization that receives bed-tax money to promote tourism in the 9 County area (Beaverhead, Broadwater, Deer Lodge, Granite, Jefferson, Lewis & Clark, Madison, Powell and Silver Bow).
Officer elections were held on January 23 at the Southwest Montana meeting in Butte. Local resident and owner of the Reading Leaves Bookstore, Rachael Brug was elected as President of the Board. Victor Sample was elected as Board Secretary.
Chiara Shober of Whitehall was elected Vice President and Jeanette Kopf of Butte as Treasurer.
Broadwater County is also represented by Board Members Mary Ellen Schnur and Pam Sample.
Southwest Montana has done a great job of promoting and working with local businesses in Broadwater County. In the past few years, Southwest Montana has created promotional videos for Fall Fest, Edgewater Farms, Canyon Ferry Brewing and Stonehouse Brewery.
Southwest Montana Executive Director Sarah Bannon, PR Manager Maria Porchervina and Office Administrator Julie Schroder work hard at promoting all of the Southwest Montana region.
