The criminal docket in Judge Micheal Menahan’s courtroom on Friday, January 10, 2025, is as follows:
Richard Karp had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to a 4th or subsequent DUI. In his elocution, he stated, “I drove drunk while I was in Broadwater County.” His Sentencing will be on February 7, 2025.
Bobby Ray Jones had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs (meth). A Pre-Sentence Investigation is ordered. He will be sentenced on March 7. 2025.
Evan Welch appeared for a Status Hearing. His new Pre-Trial Conference will be March 28; with the Jury Trial to be on April 28, 2025.
Samuel Cooper had a change of Plea; pleading Guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs. In his elocution, he stated that he was stopped by law enforcement in Broadwater County where he was found with methamphetamine. His sentencing is to be determined.
Charity Lamere had an Initial Appearance on charges of elder exploitation and two charges of identity theft. She will be arraigned on January 24, 2025.
