Girls’ Basketball:
Player of the Week, Emmalin Fischer, is a junior and was a driving offensive force in our first conference win of the season. Against the Whitehall Trojans, Emmalin directed offense and helped her teammates play hard. Emmalin had three steals and one defensive rebound. She also contributed 6 points, shooting 75% accuracy for her two-pointers.
Boys' Basketball:
Mason Bauman is this week's boys' basketball standout player. In a rivalry week against Three Forks, there is always added pressure to perform well. When most players play nervous, Mason rises above and doubles down on confidence and preparation. Putting up extra shots after practice this week helped him shoot 84% from the three-point line against the Wolves. Mason's confidence was infectious, getting the entire gym on their feet every time he shot a three-pointer. It led to his teammates playing with more energy and getting the victory for the C squad team. Congrats Mason on a great game!
Wrestling:
Eric Humphrey is the athlete of the week for two reasons. Over Christmas break, he didn't miss a practice and even made his own practice on Christmas Eve. All the work he put in over break paid off for him in Ronan he had a rough loss in the second round and then won 6 matches in a row and left Ronan with a 3rd place medal.
