The quilting shop at 401 E. Main Street in East Helena will be moving to a new location, according to store manager Kyle Rae. The former Town Pump location at the west edge of town is currently being renovated for the new business.
Rae said owners Julie and Buddy Hanrahan opened Creative Stitches six years ago at the current location and are looking forward to the move sometime in April. The current location was originally Hrella Grocery for many years, then a daycare before the quilting shop opened. Rae said she and the owners were excited to move to a larger space. Plans are for the former Town Pump Casino area to become a classroom for quilting.
