Community Library Receives Gift That Keeps on Giving

School and Community Librarian Angie Giono accepted a 3-year subscription to MT43News from Fran Wright in memory of her husband Chris, who had passed away this year.
At an interview at the library, Fran teared up. “I knew he would love the idea of giving his subscription to the library. He loved being around the kids, judging the science fair every year. The paper goes along with that idea of giving to the kids and the community,” she said.
She indicated she would like to donate the subscription each year for several years.
Chris and Fran moved to Townsend on a whim in 2016. Chris and Fran were from New Jersey, not far from the Philadelphia area. Fran had expressed an interest in moving to Montana, so she applied for a nursing position at Broadwater Health Center. She got the job. They moved. Chris jumped in with both feet to join Townsend’s activities. He became a member of Rotary and enjoyed meeting new people as a volunteer. Later they bought land so he could build their house. “He was a man of many talents, but mostly he really was a farmer of friendships,” she laughed.
