Family of Roxie Lee Anderson

Roxie Lee Anderson passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, at her home from complications of heart disease at the age of 80. She was attended to by her son, Dee.

Roxie was born on September 2, 1944, in Livingston, MT to parents Ruby and Carl Kolberg. She grew up and spent most of her life in Toston, MT. She was educated as a beautician and held various jobs throughout her life.

Her primary and most important occupation after her marriage on December 31, 1965, to Duane Anderson, was as a homemaker. She became a mother to six children, and eventually grandmother to five grandchildren.

Her favorite hobbies included needlework and reading. She spent her free time participating as a 4-H leader, Election Judge, and working at the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her children Dee Anderson (Toston), Dustin Anderson (Idaho), Darla Brown (Virginia), and Amanda Fischer (Greg) (North Dakota). Her surviving siblings include Arnold Kolberg, Carlon Emch, and Sharon Antonson (Ken). She is also survived by her grandchildren Campbell Lewis (Jeremy), Caleb Brown, Landon Anderson, Braydon Fischer, and Keldon Fischer. She is preceded in death by her husband Duane, children Shawn and Shannon, parents Ruby and Carl, Mother-in-Law Edna, and several other family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Roxie’s name to the Montana 4-H Foundation and the American Cancer Society. A celebration of life will be held in May of 2025.
