Queen City Swing Band to Play New Year's Eve
MT43 News Staff Reporter
The big band sounds of Queen City Swing Band will once again warm New Year’s Eve in Townsend at the Lodge, 131 So. Spruce St. Broadwater Community Theater (BCT) looks forward to having the nine-piece group in town.
In past years, the professional musicians have offered not only big band sounds from the 40’s and 50’s, but also polkas, the Beatles’ rock and roll tunes and everything in between. No dance lessons will be offered.
Do dress up and bring your date. Appetizers are included in the ticket and beverages are available for a donation. This special event is one of many musical and theater activities BCT supports and organizes. Some of those events this year have included Spruce Street Dance, dance lessons, scholarships for Townsend school students to Grand Street Theatre camp and the recent dinner and a play with local actors.
The evening starts at 8:00 p.m. with doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the door only. For more information, please call LaRinda at (406) 475-4016 or Nancy at (406) 980-0592.
