Quinn Hiaasen appeared for a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to an amended charge of criminal endangerment. In his elocution, he stated that he has no recollection, due to his drug use. Under the influence of drugs, I did this in Broadwater County; I knowingly grabbed a person by the neck and tried to slam her head against the wall. His Sentence is that he receives three years; he must comply to most conditions; he must apply to Gallatin County Treatment; he gets credit for time served (to be determined) and must pay fees and surcharges in the amount of $80.

Maurice Powers has his Status Hearing continue until December 20, at 9:30 a.m.

Samuel Cooper had a Change of Plea. He was not present; so, an arrest warrant was issued. His bond is $20,000.

Tanner York had his Sentencing continued on January 17, 2025.

Tami Willett had a Change of Plea on an amended charge of DUI (1st) admitting to driving while under the influence in Broadwater County; and having a child under the age of 16 with her. She receives two days credit time served; One year in county jail; all suspended; $750 fine; $250 to the Office of Public Defenders; she must have a substance abuse evaluation; she must not possess alcohol or marijuana (unless employment opportunities need that she work in a bar). If she continues to cook in such, she can contact the County Attorney.

John Hansson appeared on a Petition to Revoke Felony charges. The Plea Agreement agrees that he serve 20 years MSP, with fifteen years suspended. However, with this revocation, it is alleged that he has not complied with court orders and conditions. He did not turn himself in, after a one-week furlough; even after an extension. He did not comply with court-ordered alcohol testing. He was arrested on October 29 in Billings. His Sentence is that he serve six months in Broadwater County. He is due to go to Montana State Prison in April 2025. He must pay $2,500 in restitution for the damaged 1981 Ford F150; which was stolen. He has 222 days credit time served. He remains in jail for two DUIs (2nd and 3rd) out of Justice Court until February 26, 2025. His Sentence is that he has ten years in Montana State Prison, with 5 years suspended. He must serve ten years Department of Corrections; consecutive to prison. He is to pay (in addition to the $2,500 in restitution) $2,200 fine, $80- fees and surcharges, and a $50 Pre-Sentence Investigation fee. He gets credit time served (to be determined). He must be screened and placed in appropriate therapy. If MSP does not provide that, he must have MRT (moral recognition therapy).

Codey Green has a Petition to Revoke on a suspended sentence. He is sentenced to five years D.O.C., with two suspended. He has served this sentence; getting out of Prison on April 19, 2022. Now, he must serve five years MSP; with a total of 650 credit time served. He is to be seen in Lewis and County Court, and Sentenced on felony charges; as convicted by Jury Trial. He is Sentenced two years, all suspended. He has credit time served 650 days; the remainder of 80 days is suspended. He has $880 still owed.

Shadow Robbins had her sentencing on a 4th or subsequent offense of DUI She is enrolled in the STEER Program (Sobriety Treatment, Education, Excellence, Rehabilitation). She is currently working near Billings; and does alcohol testing four times a day. Her Sentence is five years DOC, all suspended. $800 to Office of Public Defenders, $5,000 fine, all suspended, Fees and surcharges of $80. The judge forwarded her a recommendation for a provisional driver's license.

Bet Ginsberg had an Evidentiary Hearing; bringing a motion to suppress. He challenges the search of his cell phone; citing he did not give permission to access his Google account, as well as the expansion to his ‘cloud’. After a long testimony by Deputy Aaron Reynolds, citing when Ginsburg contacted him about the ‘truck fire’. He testified that after accessing Ginsburg’s phone, they found evidence linking him to John Hansson and the stolen truck. It was difficult, because Ginsberg had two phones: both an iPhone and an Android. In one video/audio clip, they heard Ginsberg, Kristena Peek, and John Hansson allegedly talking about the truck. Sheriff’s office was also able to access phone calls, texts, files, videos, and other evidence, tying him to John Hansson. Closings will be presented to the court on December 27. Bert Ginsberg had an Order to Show Cause on a violation of court orders; when an off-duty deputy saw Ginsberg and Kristena Peek entering the Bunkhouse Bar and Grill; and he has a positive (for meth) test.
