Girls basketball player of the week:
Holly Newman is a junior and started in our game against Twin Bridges. She was a driving force in our defense, getting her team ignited in the second quarter. Holly’s defensive drive included five steals and one defensive rebound. To round out her game on the offensive side, Holly had two offensive rebounds, one assist, and 15 points with an 85% accuracy for her two-pointers and 33% on her three-pointers.
Boys basketball player of the week:
Tavyn Anderson is the player of the week by leading the Bulldogs in scoring at 16 points against the Twin Bridges Falcons. Shooting at 62%, Tavyn shows that he takes the best possible shots in the game and also gets his teammates involved with two additional assists. Super proud of Tavyn and the rest of the Bulldogs this game with everyone getting to play and almost every single guy on the roster scoring! A great start to the season! Congrats Tavyn!
Wrestling:
Parker Hunt didn't have the perfect start to the season that he wanted, placing 5th at the Badger Invitational. He is the player of the week because of how much he has grown and improved on and off the mat. After his matches, he would ask what he could work on and he would also know what he wanted to work on in practice for the week. He is growing into a great wrestler and role model for the team.
