Three Forks Ambulance Service
Three Forks Ambulance had 27 calls for service in November 2024.
We focused crew training this month on certifications to administer medications and insert more advanced airways — both are special endorsements at the state level for EMTs. We'd like to give a special shoutout to EMT Hudspeth, our amazing Training Officer who works hard every month to provide excellent development opportunities to our crew!
There continues to be a strong need for local drivers who can operate the ambulance for our EMTs. We will train from zero experience and drivers must be licensed, and 18 years of age or older. See our website, 3faa.org for more information or to fill out the interest form.
Our November calls included:
• 15 transports to the hospital with 3 paramedic intercepts for pain medications, 4 calls where AMR came from Bozeman to provide needed backup because our volunteer crew was unable to respond.
• 1 refusal where the patient declined transport
• 4 calls canceled before we responded (but we still woke up for them!)
• 2 calls for motor vehicle accidents (MVAs) where no patient was found
• 1 call where we were canceled after arriving on scene
We are planning to offer an EMT class in the evenings from February - April, and scholarships may be available. More details are coming soon on our website.
As a non-profit organization, Three Forks Area Ambulance operates without tax levies.
Our service is supported solely through insurance billing, donations, and grants. Over the past five years, we have averaged over 320 calls annually, and we will surpass that number this year. As of November 30, 2024, we have responded to over 300 calls. Our dedicated volunteer EMTs and drivers continue to work tirelessly to meet our community's emergency medical needs.
We appreciate your ongoing support. Please see our website, 3faa.org, if you are interested in supporting our mission financially.
Thank you!
