Rough Hands 4-h Club Serves at Christmas Stroll

The Christmas Stroll was so well attended this year. Beautiful weather, great items for sale, talented locals sharing their skills, great music, and an awesome parade! Everyone was in a festive mood.
The food - WOW!!!
We found ourselves hovering around the lively and scrumptious Rocky Mountain Rough Hands 4-H (RMH) stand. It is downright incredible what that club brings to the community at the Christmas Stroll and throughout the year. Their booth included a wonderful steak sandwich dinner, (with these delectable New York Strip steaks from Bob’s Supermarket) prepared by Warren Flynn, Jarred Graveley and Klint Reynolds, sautéed mushrooms, peppers and onions, Becky’s homemade horseradish sauce, a bag of chips and bottle of water – all for only $10. AMAZING! Then one could stroll over and order up a warm and rich Gourmet Hot Chocolate and pick from a myriad of toppings and stir it all up with hand-dipped chocolate-covered spoons. Mmm! The hot chocolate table was donation only – UNBELIEVABLE!
Then club members, Sawyer Harrigfeld, Stetson and Cinch Reynolds, made these delightful handmade items for a raffle table to help raise money for 4-H Exchange. The craftsmanship by these young men was remarkable.
All the club families pitching in at every turn and doing so in such a professional and pleasant fashion was a site to see. The club’s float for the parade was adorable, and it was such a delight to see the kids having such a great time dancing and caroling. What a pleasure to witness, not only this 4-H Club but also everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Christmas Stroll such a success, ya reckon?
The Rocky Mountain Rough Hands was created in 2019 by Becky Flynn and Josie Reynolds, after their club, the Old Baldy 4-H Club, got too big. The Rough Hands have been going great guns ever since! They truly live the 4-H pledge, “I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living for my club, my community, my country, and my world".
Becky and Josie have also shared the leadership reins with Jess Erickson and now Kendyl Harrigfeld. The club works extra hard “To Make the Best Better” (4-H motto), and give back to this great community, with nearly $3000 given back to the community in 2023/2024. They understand what SERVICE is. They care deeply about YOU, and they certainly appreciate YOUR support. Businesses and folks like YOU and those who purchased livestock animals from RMRH members in 2024 (Graymont, Hamilton Honey, Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic, Ehlke Herefords, Rocky Mountain Supply, Bob Graveley, Devon Zeadow, Alpine Analytical, Churchill Equipment, Taves Consulting, Ron and Tracy Kaler, Lane Construction, and Lehrkinds Coca Cola) are the heartbeat of this entire county and our beautiful small-town USA. Kudos!
So, I will take the liberty, on behalf of the Rocky Mountain Rough Hands, to say THANK YOU to this extra special community and have a blessed Christmas and a prosperous 2025.
(Current Club Members: Cinch, Stetson and Rosyn Reynolds, Myla and Blair Graveley, Cassidy Flynn, Bryleigh and Grady Erickson, Sawyer, Hallee and Brooklyn Harrigfeld, Kayla McDonald, Ryal and Abigail Lancello, Bentley and Greyson Hoppe, and Evie and Thea Moos.)
