November was definitely another successful month for the Broadwater Futurre Farmers of America (FFA) chapter. We attended the Montana Ag Expo at Montana State University on November 14th-16th. The time and effort that members put into practicing for their Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events really showed in competition.
Broadwater FFA had members competing in several competitions this year. These competitions include Creed Speaking, Ag Sales, Employment Skills, Ag Mechanics, Agronomy, Floriculture, Horse Evaluation, Livestock Evaluation, and Veterinary Science.
I would like to highlight 3 members who did exceptionally well in their competitions at the Montana Ag Expo. Cheyanne Douglas placed 2nd individually in Jr. Veterinary Science, Emma Delgado placed 9th individually in Jr. Veterinary Science, and Alexis Fryer placed 9th individually in Horse Evaluation. All three of these competitors are freshmen, and for Emma and Alexis, this was their first competition. Placing in the top 10 is a huge accomplishment and I’m looking forward to seeing where these new members go during their FFA journey.
On November 19th, 2024 we held the monthly meeting of the Broadwater FFA chapter. We discussed upcoming events and reported on what our chapter has accomplished during the month of November.
I’m incredibly proud of all of the members of our chapter that competed at the Montana Ag Expo and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish during the next month.
