Ducks Unlimited Banquet a Success

The annual Ducks Unlimited (DU) banquet on Saturday, November 9, brought 180 people to Watson Event Center to enjoy both silent and live auctions, dinner and community.
Representatives of Willie’s Distillery in Ennis were there to not only to showcase their new flavors (Huckleberry Sweet Cream Liqueur & Salted Caramel Cream Liqueur) but also many Banded Raffle Items from Willies: Snowcrest Vodka, Cattledog Whiskey, Montana Honey Moonshine, to name a few. They also had a no-host bar that had a variety of Willie’s signature drinks (and many more).
There were 36 live auction items and 16 guns of assorted calibers that were raffled to excited attendees. This reporter was fortunate to bid on (and win) a beautiful crosscut saw.
A dinner of Prime Rib brought everyone to their feet to stand in line for the feast. That’s when you could really see the amount of people who were there. 180 makes a significant line. Significant monies go to Ducks Unlimited. This year’s banquet and auction brought $40,000 to be given to DU.
