Tow-Mater Truck Heads Up the Ghost Stroll

MT43 News Staff Reporter

There it was: a 1955 Chevy truck parked on Broadway Halloween night all decked out with eyes for windows. According to Eric Sommers, his father-in-law Gerald Knutsen bought the heavy-duty tow truck 18 years ago and named it Tow-Mater, after the truck in the imaginary town of Radiator Springs featured in the animated movie “Cars".

The tow truck was not the only well-done attraction at the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Ghost Stroll. Laura Knaff and family installed a Candyland booth outfitted with not only the game but lots of candy. Rotary goblins manned a haunted house. Mad Scientist JB Howick coaxed children to try their hand at games of chance.

Chamber Chairwoman. Jenni Fellenz. was pleased with how many families turned out for treats. She thanks all the businesses who took part in the festivities.
