The criminal docket in Judge Michael Menahan’s courtroom on Friday, November 1, 2024, is as follows:
Dustin Redfox appeared for a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to open container. He is under Federal probation, so, the Judge is suspending execution of the sentence for ten days. He receives $100 fine. For the charge of theft of a motor vehicle, the sentence is deferred for 18 months.
Eric Turk had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to an amended charge of negligent endangerment and DUI (1st), and failure to engage turn signal. In his elocution, he stated that he was driving in Broadwater County when he had a BAC of 0.08 or more and did not slow down for emergency flag. He is sentenced to three days credit time served; he must complete an alcohol assessment and have a probationary driver’s license. Ct. 1 comes with a suspended sentence of 112 months. He must pay $610 fines and complete the ‘Prime for Life’ program. For ct. 2, he receives a six-month suspended Sentence.
Darcy Roerick appeared for a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to an amended charge of partner/family member assault. In her elocution, she stated that while in an argument with her husband, she threw a cell phone at her husband, as well as holding a knife during an argument later, causing reasonable fear of bodily injury. She received a suspended sentence of 18 months, as long as she pays a fine of $300 (which needs to be paid within 4 months); six days of jail time, plus enroll in anger management. She must not consume alcohol or enter any casino. She must pay fees and surcharges of $80.
Samuel Cooper had his Change of Plea continued until December 6, 2024.
Richard Karp had his Status Hearing continued until December 6, 2024.
