Townsend, MT – November 15, 2024—Simulation in Motion Montana (SIM-MT) is set to conduct a critical stroke simulation training event at Billings Clinic Broadwater in Townsend, Montana. This hands-on training will equip healthcare providers with the vital skills and real-world experience necessary to assess and respond effectively to stroke cases, one of the most urgent medical emergencies and a leading cause of disability in the United States.

Through SIM-MT’s mobile high-fidelity simulation lab, participants will encounter realistic stroke scenarios with lifelike mannequins that simulate symptoms and responses. This immersive training environment allows providers to practice rapid assessment, teamwork, and decision-making—skills crucial to reducing response time and improving patient outcomes in stroke situations.

“Effective stroke response requires a well-coordinated team approach and swift action,” stated Lee Roberts, Program Director for SIM-MT. “Our simulation-based training offers providers an invaluable, safe environment to build and refine these life-saving skills before facing real emergencies.”

This event underscores SIM-MT’s mission to bring essential healthcare training directly to Montana’s communities. By offering training that addresses common and high-stakes medical events, SIM-MT ensures that healthcare teams are fully prepared to deliver the highest standard of care for stroke patients and beyond.
