Cow Girl Camp - Ya Reckon?
Broadwater County is budding with some clever entrepreneurial minds who are doing great things in the name of Agriculture. The duo of Caroline and Justin Nelson is one such talent, taking social media, direct sell products, brick-and-mortar businesses and Montana retreats by storm…..and doing so at warped speed.
This summer I was fortunate enough to help my daughter, Josie Reynolds cook at a couple of the Little Creek Cowgirl Camps that were held at Wide Sky Adventures near Big Timber, Montana. It was truly a step back in time in the most exquisite way! The food was amazing. Josie has taken her catering skills to next-level DELISH, and it was an absolute pleasure (honor, really) to serve as her sous chef. The facilities, which included teepees, tents, outdoor showers, a new “cook shack” and incredible views of Montana and the stately Crazy Mountains, were top-notch.

The Mission - WOW! What an itinerary of horse workshops and riding, moving cattle, meaningful conversations around the campfire and dinner table, various artisan-style workshops such as naturally dying wild rags, tanning sheepskins, and jewelry-making; all while being immersed in this innate aura of grit and grace! Seeing women (21+) from all walks of life and all parts of the country come together to experience the very best of Montana and this vast Western lifestyle was uplifting and awe-inspiring. Perhaps an experience such as this would serve us all well, ya reckon?
