The Tri-County American Legion Riders Chapter 2 are conducting a coat drive. This effort will provide proper winter attire for our local kids. During the previous coat drives, most of the winter clothing items went to the Townsend school. The school is very well suited to see when kids come to school without properly fitting winter attire, or even worse, none at all. We want our kids prepared for the frigid temperatures coming.
Rememberrr, these are the months end in BRRR!
New Coats, socks, gloves, and scarves can be dropped off at American Legion Post 42 in Townsend (211 Broadway St, Contact person: Janet 406.498.6951), or in Helena at Post 2 (3095 Villard Ave, Contact person: Penny 406.461.2096). The coat drive will begin on Octobrrr 1st through Novembrrr 15th. Items dropped off at the Legion in Townsend will predominantly go to the children in the Townsend area.
Thank you!
