SIM-MT To Host Mental Health Simulation and Educational Training at Billings Clinic Broadwater in Townsend
SIM-MT
On October 25th, 2024, Simulation in Motion Montana (SIM-MT) will conduct a comprehensive mental health training session at Billings Clinic Broadwater. This hands-on simulation, designed for EMTs, paramedics, CNAs, RNs, and other healthcare providers, will feature live actors portraying mental health crisis scenarios. In addition to the immersive simulation, participants will engage in tabletop classroom education to deepen their understanding of mental health care and crisis intervention.
Montana’s high suicide rate underscores the importance of mental health training, and SIM-MT is committed to addressing these challenges head-on. By bringing high-fidelity mobile simulation labs to communities like Townsend, along with classroom-based instruction, SIM-MT provides local healthcare professionals with the tools and knowledge they need to effectively manage mental health emergencies and improve patient outcomes.
We invite local media to witness this dynamic training event, which combines both realistic scenario simulations with classroom learning to offer a holistic approach to mental health education. This training is a vital step in improving mental health care across Montana.
