Dale Thiel, the announcer for the car show, said, “Rotary Townsend Club would like to thank everybody for coming out here and making this the most successful car show they have had. This is the biggest turnout they have ever had for cars and people. There were a total of 325 cars that entered.” Dale works with long-time Rotary member Mr. Jerry Rodacker. He has been directly involved with the car show since it started 25 years ago.

The car show was filled up with cars and jillions of people on Broadway Street from the intersection of Highway 287 and Highway 12 all the way to Cherry Street. Tiffany and Keith Simpson, owners of CARQUEST AUTO PARTS, donated tee shirts, some small raffle items and a model car.

There were 10 different categories, plus a best of show. These are Street Rod Modified, Most Original, Muscle Cars, 1920s & 1930s, 1940-1949, 1950-1959, 1960-1969 1970s plus, Trucks All years, and Import All years.
