Kelsi Anderson, Candidate for Clerk of District Court
MT43 News Staff Reporter
Background: Kelsi Anderson, 37, a lifelong Townsend resident, graduated from Broadwater High School in 2005. She began her advanced education online for a certificate in criminal justice. Her children, Tana, age 12 and Waylon age 9 attend Townsend Schools, while Tenlee, age 4, attends the Kinder-Ready program at the school also.
Why should Broadwater County residents vote for you? Kelsi joined Broadwater Justice Court in 2015. As clerk, she has been responsible for keeping accurate records and up-to-date work with filings. She understands the judicial system on a city, county and district level through the Full Court Enterprise system used to keep records as established now by Montana courts.
Kelsi is running for Clerk of Court to further her career in the court system. Kelsi plans to spend the rest of her career with Broadwater County. As such she is looking forward to many more years serving Broadwater County residents. She feels since the clerk of court is the first person to meet the public, attorneys and judges, that they should be greeted professionally and with unbiased views. If elected she will concentrate on running an efficient office; maintaining accurate financial records and improving communication with judges, prosecutors, the sheriff’s office and others who need services.
To balance work-life activities, Kelsi spends lots of time at her kids’ games and school events. She has eight aunts and uncles, most of whom live in the area so family time is important whether they are camping, attending family barbeques or hanging out at the lake.
