Wow, What a Successful Fall Fest!
This year I finally just experienced Fall Fest, and it was GREAT! Many people worldwide don’t always communicate, putting together an event like this. Our Fall Fest was a huge success! It’s a thing of beauty when folks come together and create a community gathering like this.
Thank you Rotary, and all the volunteers. A job well done.
Now onto the details: (relax, I loved it) the vendors' booths seemed nicely positioned, I was astounded by all the woodworking booths. These folks are talented. The bands being a little bit quieter this year, was a nice touch. I barely heard them across town, thank you (I know the people who live right next to the stage were happier too).
ALL the great food variety is a wonderful thing, (even when I am trying to lower my sugar intake) the Brats were the best I can remember! Nice job Rotary people. I did miss seeing the folks who usually have the Almond bark booth, even though I can’t have any, I like seeing them.
The new children’s area really kept the little urchins busy and gave their parents time to enjoy food and music. (Along with a few beers.) This celebration is something special around Montana. We saw folks from all over the state & country. They came to enjoy our small-town life. Remember that the next time you talk about “expanding” our town!
All the local shops were doing great business, which always helps make people happy. I know a few that are taking a breath of relief from today's crowds, but they will look at the profits and smile. So many local vendors had booths and showed their wears, this is a special event for locals to show off their talents and imagination.
THEN the “Classic” car show on Sunday, was blessed with perfect weather. I cannot remember EVER seeing so many cars & trucks on display, they really filled Broadway! I really love seeing the town folk dancing to the old time Rock and Roll. It really brings back memories and gives a bit of a lift to the spirits.
Never mind the “Hallmark” moments, this Fall Fest brought to us all the wonderful thoughts we have about HERE! Our Town and the place we wish to be. Well done Townsendites. A great time was had by all.
NOW on into serious Autumn, the leaves are turning and breeze is a bit cooler. Time for embracing Montana fall! (There will be snow up on Mount Baldy any day.) Hurry, break out the flannel shirts!
