The Lady Bulldogs come out strong, easily winning their first two games. On September 5, they faced the Three Forks Wolves and showed how hard they had worked over the summer—being able to secure a win in just three sets. Their winning streak continued when on September 7, they beat the Choteau Bulldogs The girls played hard and took it to four sets winning the dogfight.

In their opener against Three Forks, the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and C Squad teams all achieved victories, demonstrating the strength of the entire program. The second game against Choteau was a hard fight from all teams, but only Varsity could dominate over the other Bulldogs.

Captains, Cassidy Flynn, Emmalin Fisher, Kaitlyn Noyes, and Aspen Slyker helped lead the team to victory in both games. Cassidy Flynn touches on the importance of team chemistry and communication, especially with a few new faces added to the roster. “Against Choteau, our communication was good for the first two sets. We didn’t talk as much in the third set and lost. In the fourth game, we beat them when we were talking more. I think team chemistry is really important this year because our team is really young and we lost a lot of seniors last year. We have to work together and form new bonds with each other,” Flynn states.

To get in the mood before each game, the girls play the ‘Volleyball Playlist’ on the bus ride to the games and in the locker room while they finish getting ready. Mentally the girls, who learned from Cassidy, try to stay calm and not panic. Staying calm not only for themselves but for the rest of their team. Feeding off of the crowds–whether it is our fans or the opposing team’s student section–making sure they are the loudest on the court. Remaining energized throughout the sets is a key component of how the Ladies play. With each pass, set and hit our Lady Bulldogs are making us proud by dominating the nets of their opponents.

The Broadwater community is excited for another great season from the Lady Bulldogs and anxiously awaits each game. The next game will be on September Friday 13th against the Lone Peak Big Horns. With such a strong start to their season, the home crowd will only give the girls more energy to beat the Big Horns.
