Lions Celebrate Anniversary

The Broadwater County Lions celebrated their 43rd Charter Night anniversary with speeches from the Lion’s District Governor and District Vice-governor. Representatives from four neighboring clubs, including International Director, Ben Apeland, and past International Director, Dave Hajny, also joined in the festivities.

Patti Hanson was presented with the Melvin Jones Award, the highest award the club presents, for her very active work with the various club activities.

Sandra Booher and Patti Hanson received the Montana Lions Sight and Hearing Award for all the encouragement and support they provided the members throughout the year.

New officers installed were:

President – Richard Heida

1st Vice president – Dela Chatriand

2nd Vice President – Joe Kondelik

Secretary – Sandra Booher

Treasurer – Teena Larson

Tail Twister – Gary Olsen, Bob Brastrup

Lion Tamer – Gary Olsen, Don Hanson

Board of Directors – Richard Heida, Patti Hanson, Kennedy Vogl

Membership – Sheri Brastrup, Roni McBride, Dela Chatriand

The club membership is looking forward to the new year with more than 30 programs and activities planned.

Appreciation is extended to the American Legion and Legion Auxiliary for the great meal they served for the event.
