The criminal docket in Judge Micheal McMahon’s courtroom on Friday, August 9, 2024, is as follows:

Shadow Robbins appeared for a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to a charge of DUI (4+). In her elocution, Robbins related that she was intoxicated as she drove in Broadwater County. Her Sentencing will be on October 11. A Pre-Sentence Investigation is ordered; the defendant is ordered to cooperate with the interview.

Maurice Powers had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to charges of two counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. Omnibus is due by September 13; Pre-Trial is set for January 10, 2025; with the Jury Trial scheduled for February 10.

Michael Coyle appeared for Sentencing to the charges of felony sexual assault (when the victim is under 16 years old; and the offender is three or more years older); sexual intercourse without consent (threat of bodily harm). The Court received a Psycho-Sexual Evaluation; as well as a Pre-Sentence Investigation. Victims read their witness statements over Zoom. Coyle is Sentenced to 60 years, in Montana State Prison; 10 years suspended times two, for the second charge. He must comply with and complete the Sex Offenders Treatment Program offered by MSP. All conditions from other Sentencing is to carry over. Sentences will be run concurrently, but consecutive to previous charges.
