Billings Clinic Broadwater Welcomes Family Medicine Provider

Townsend, MT— Billings Clinic Broadwater welcomes home Montana native and family medicine physician Paul Engstrom, MD. Raised on a wheat farm outside of the tiny town of Reserve, Montana.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Engstrom offers continuing and comprehensive care to patients of all ages. In his practice, he aims to help patients navigate their care needs and health throughout the stages of their lives.

“Small-town Montana has always been home and I’m incredibly excited to be back. The community has been so welcoming since our arrival and I’m looking forward to serving Broadwater County now and in the years to come,” said Dr. Engstrom.

Dr. Engstrom grew up in a Montana county (Sheridan) with just a single stoplight and, at the time, a graduating high school class of eight students. He attended Montana Tech in Butte after high school, where he played basketball for the Orediggers. Following graduation, he worked as a CNA in Missoula. Engstrom credits that job with providing him with more compassion and empathy than he could have obtained anywhere else. He spent the next four years in medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA. before completing his Family Medicine residency at St. Mary’s University in Grand Junction, CO.

While Washington and Colorado had treated him well, Dr. Engstrom continued to miss his home state, so when the opportunity arose to return, he jumped at it. Dr. Engstrom’s special interests include emergency medicine and the full spectrum of family medicine. He enjoys skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking and working out. Dr. Engstrom looks forward to serving the people of Townsend and Broadwater County.
