Future Farmers of America, Living to Serve

2024-2025 Broadwater FFA Reporter

Members have made outstanding accomplishments lately, as well as participating in community service. After all, part of our FFA motto is, “Living to serve.".

On July 23rd, 2024, our officer team got together to begin sanding and staining a picnic table on the campus of Broadwater High School. While there will be more maintenance needed to get the table in ideal condition, it was a good way for our officer team to bond while also doing a project that will help others.

I would also like to highlight the accomplishments of FFA members during the Broadwater County Fair this past week. Amanda Pesicka competed in the local rodeo, placing third in pole bending and second in barrel racing. Aiden Kitto won a blue ribbon in showmanship, a blue ribbon for market hog, and a purple ribbon in market hog. Kaitlyn Noyes won Grand Champion Swine Showman, Reserve Champion Market Swine, purple ribbons in market swine and swine showmanship, Reserve Champion Sheep Showman, purple ribbons in market and showmanship, as well as purple ribbons in market and showmanship, and a blue ribbon in market beef. Kaitlyn also made the accomplishment of winning Grand Champion Round Robin Senior Showman.

While Spencer Braaten didn't compete in the Broadwater County Fair, he made some great accomplishments at the state fair in Great Falls. These included Grand Champion Market Hog, Grand Champion Breeding Gilt, 3rd Overall Breeding Gilt, and Grand Champion Intermediate Showman.

I would like to congratulate all members on their achievements this month. Your hard work and dedication really paid off.
