On Saturday, August 3rd, local cowboy Colton Haase had a phenomenal second day of rodeo. As a saddle bronc rider, he was able to get 120 total points which helped to secure his two wins in the Townsend Rodeo. Haase felt good about his performance. Although he thinks it could have gone better, he was still able to take the victory over the other competitors. He explains his steps of preparation saying,” Mentally is just kind of picturing it. One thing I do a lot is, before I go to bed, is picture it. You know, play a good ride in your mind. Physically get on a good workout plan and stick to it.”
Haase later said that the most rewarding part of the rodeos wasn’t the money but being able to be a role model and seeing the kids smile.
