The Broadwater Bulldog Volleyball team showed their love and dedication to the sport by traveling over one thousand miles for a tournament held in Phoenix, Arizona. The five girls from Townsend– Bryleigh Erickson, Violet Collins, Holly Newman, Harper Wolfgram, and Mishayla Lambot– put their skills to the test throughout the tournament.

Put on by Wild Pepper Volleyball, the tournament was four days long. Bryleigh Erickson, an incoming sophomore, breaks the tournament down saying, “The first three days were pool play where we got seeded for the last day. On the last day, we got put in the crown bracket, the fourteenth out of twenty brackets.”

Since the girls went with their club team, they were on different teams. Erickson and Collins were on team Ambition while Newman, Wolfgram, and Lambot were on team Diamonds.

The girls ate, slept, and played volleyball. Through this routine, they could feel themselves improving and they plan on bringing those improved skills to the start of the school volleyball season. Although the bulldogs were not all on the same team, the girls still enjoyed bonding and playing volleyball. This was the first year the girls attended this tournament, but several players plan on going again.
