The first couple of months with the 2024-2025 officer team have definitely been busy! What we can now consider the 2024-2025 year started on April 15th, 2024 with our chapter's 9th Annual FFA Banquet. FFA members, parents, and Alumni & Supporters gathered to reflect on all of our chapter's achievements during the 2023-2024 year. The following awards were presented to members who put in an exceptional amount of effort over the course of the year:

Most Active Member:

Freshman: Jacey Brunette

Sophomore: Spencer Braaten

Junior: Amanda Pesicka

Senior: Kayla Kraft

Overall: Kaitlyn Noyes

Merit Award (Highest GPA)

Sophomores: Ashley Sanderson & Kaitlyn Noyes

Junior: Amanda Pesicka

Senior: Kayla Kraft

Jacey Brunette, Janey Brunette, and Kaden Bruins were recognized for achieving their Greenhand Degrees in December of 2023. Aiden Kitto, Amanda Pesicka, Ashley Sanderson, Gavin Schmele, Kaitlyn Noyes, and Spencer Braaten were all presented with their Chapter Degrees. This is the highest degree a member can achieve without going beyond the chapter level.

Once everyone got settled into their new roles for the upcoming year, May of 2024 became full of activities. May 17th, 2024 was the day that FFA members, along with the 4-H Exchange group and Patrick Plantenberg came together to clean up the school campus and have it looking presentable in time for graduation. May 21st, 2024 was the first meeting with our new officer team and everyone overall did really well. I look forward to seeing all that our group can accomplish this year! To finish up the school year, on May 30th, 2024, members ran stations at the fairgrounds to educate our K-5 students on the different aspects of agriculture.

Most recently, on June 25th, 2024 we had our first Chapter meeting of the summer at Heritage Park. We welcomed guests Andrew Ferrat and Tyler Noyes, Broadwater FFA alumni members and fellow advisors in the state of Montana. We discussed further activities that would be going on throughout the summer.

All in all, things have been pretty successful so far, and I look forward to what the rest of the 2024-2025 year will bring.
