New Fish Passageways To Be Added Along Cabin Gulch Road In June

TOWNSEND, Mont. – May 30, 2024 — Starting June 10, the Forest Service will upgrade fish passageways along the Cabin Gulch Road. While this work occurs, a 1-mile section of the road will close between June 10 and June 28.
“Thank you for your patience as we make these upgrades,” said Townsend District Ranger Aaron Webber. “This work will benefit fish passage in the area and improve the long-term durability of the road.”
The closure applies to Forest System Road (FSR) 423, Cabin Gulch Road, beginning at the junction of FSR 4181 and FSR 423, to the intersection of FSR 423 and FSR 423 C.
