Letter of Support for Ric Holden
Dear Editor,
The upcoming election for the Eastern Montana 2nd U.S. Congressional seat has nine candidates vying for the Republican nomination. I am endorsing Ric Holden.
Ric Holden and I both graduated from Absarokee High School in 1980, so I have known him for many years. He holds a degree in Business Management from Montana State University - Bozeman, with double minors in Business Finance and Business Marketing. During college, he served in the US Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.
Ric and his wife Jan have been married for 41 years. As a dedicated Montana rancher, Ric purchased their ranch on the banks of the Yellowstone River between Terry and Glendive in 1990 and has been ranching for 33 years. He is deeply involved in agriculture, raising sheep, cattle, corn, alfalfa, and small grain crops.
In his political career, Ric served in the Montana State Senate, earning legislative A ratings from the Montana Stockgrowers, Montana Farm Bureau, Montana Woolgrowers Association and the National Rifle Association. He also served as Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee and Vice Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee. Ric is committed to supporting and improving the lives of Montana families. Throughout the time I have known him, his skills and knowledge have proven invaluable to his community and state.
Ric is intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated to Montana. He understands that a strong and healthy agribusiness sector is crucial for a robust Montana economy, benefiting everyone. He is reliable, willing to tackle all issues, and ready to put in the necessary hours as a congressman.
I have great respect and admiration for Ric's intelligence and dedication to working for Montana's agricultural families and the state as a whole. Montana is fortunate to have a candidate of his caliber and dedication, bringing fresh perspectives to the national level.
Join me in voting Ric Holden for Eastern Montana 2nd U.S Congressman on June 4.
