Rotary Awards Four Scholarships to HS Seniors

The Rotary Club of Townsend awarded four scholarships to some of our best community service-oriented students for successfully achieving academic excellence and exemplifying, by their conduct and service in the community, the highest ideals of Rotary.
The Frank Holloway Scholarship of $2,000 went to Reese Wolfgram, who has been a very successful Rotary Interact President for this last year. The Holling-White Scholarship of $1,500 was awarded to Cooper Hines, the ever-positive side-kick Vice President of the Interact Club. The new Chris Wright Scholarship for $1,500 went to Jacob Pesicka and the Mel Potruff Scholarship of $1,000 to Mikayla Kraft, both also superb individuals.
We want to thank all of the applicants for their time and effort in applying for these scholarships, as all are outstanding students and have been involved in so many activities in their school and our community that the selections for the winners were tough for the board. Congratulations and best wishes to our senior high school graduates as they pursue the next chapter of their lives!
