School Campus Cleaned Up for Graduation
Pat Plantenberg
On Friday, May 17th, 10 4H Exchange and FFA students and their advisor Jemma Loughery, from Broadwater County High School helped the Tree Board and Rotary clean up the school campus before graduation. Beds were weeded and leaves were raked up, rock and concrete debris from school construction was removed, a load of garbage was hauled to the dump, and bushes were pruned.
The school is Townsend’s civic center, and it must look good before large events like graduation that bring lots of people to the campus from out of town. Campus clean-up is an annual event sponsored by the Tree Board and Rotary. We could have used many more people to clean a larger area of the campus. Please put the third weekend of May 2025 on your calendar to remind yourself you are needed for campus clean-up next spring.
