If you were out of town last weekend, you missed a fabulous show of aurora borealis or the Northern Lights. Amateur and professional photographers alike were able to record hues of green, purple, red and blue late into Friday and Saturday nights, no matter where they were in the county.

The center predicted the strong aurora could cause interference with satellite communication and electrical connections.
