Dillon Man Is Candidate For Public Service Commission

Dillon Man is Candidate for Public Service Commission

My name is Jeff Welborn, and I’m running to represent District 3 on the Montana Public Service Commission. This district runs clear from Hamilton to Winnett. I currently serve the people of Southwest Montana as a State Senator. My committee assignments have allowed me to focus on natural resources, transportation, and budgeting matters. I also own a small business, Stock Drive Trailer Sales in Dillon.

The PSC is an agency that affects every person in Montana seeking reliable, affordable utilities. I believe I have the experience, knowledge, and, most would agree, the earned respect to effectively and honorably serve the people of Montana as your next PSC Commissioner, and continue the good work of PSC President Jim Brown, who is now running for State Auditor.

If elected, my top three priorities are to fight against unfair utility rate increases, helping protect Montanans’ wallets and pocketbooks; advocate for solutions that bring greater reliability to our utility services year-round; and bring new and rural voices into the conversation to better serve our farmers, ranchers, and small business owners.

I will protect Montanans from unfair rate increases, and I have the backbone to vote “no.” I will also promote investment in Montana’s energy future, ensuring Montana remains a net energy exporter by focusing on the sources like hydropower, hydrogen, and nuclear. That said, I won’t vote to subsidize any industry.

I hope to earn your vote in the June Republican primary. Please visit WelbornForMontana.com to learn more about my campaign.
