Follow New County Resident’s Lead – Volunteer
Teri Blahnik moved to Townsend in 2019. It didn’t take her long to find a job. A Hamilton native, Teri had just retired from her career. Her time in her new home in Townsend found her looking for something to do. The Townsend Tree Board sounded interesting, she said, so she attended a meeting. Before she knew it she had volunteered to water the boulevard trees in Townsend. She was recruited by Pat Plantenberg, the tree guy.
“I just so admire Patrick, for all the work he has done putting in trees in town. It’s an honor to water those trees he and others have worked so hard planting.” She remarked as she watered trees on ‘D’ Street near Bob’s Supermarket Saturday.
