Kelsi Anderson For Clerk of District Court

Kelsi Anderson

Justice Court Clerk

My name is Kelsi Anderson, candidate for the Clerk of District Court. I was born and raised here in Townsend, where I attended Cecilia Hazelton Elementary and Townsend Middle School before graduating from Broadwater High School.

I am also raising my three children here, two of which are currently enrolled in Townsend Elementary and Townsend Middle School.

As a lifelong Townsend community member, my career goals have primarily focused on getting involved in court proceedings, attending Clerk conferences twice a year to increase my knowledge of Montana's court system, and excelling in my duties for the Broadwater County Justice Court. I am now running for the Clerk of District Court position because of the knowledge I have gained in my role of Clerk of Justice Court for the past nine years and as a Deputy Clerk for District Court for eight months. These positions have required me to be organized and detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, be adept at multitasking and data processing, and have a drive for more knowledge in regard to the court system.

As a candidate for this position, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge on the information system we work in, the Montana court system, the preparation and issuing of orders for the Broadwater County Justice Court, the preparation of dockets of cases, the examination of legal documents filed with the courts, how to contact attorneys and the general public, how to complete administrative duties essential to the role, and more. I have a strong work ethic and desire to further my career in the role of Clerk of District Court.
