Broadwater Rod and Gun Club (BRGC) hosts BlastO’Lantern

2022 on November 5th from 10am to 1:30pm at 330 Indian Creek range. This is the fourth year! BRGC started this in 2019 due to the overpopulation of Jack O’Lanterns (dressed up common pumpkins, some with scary faces) in Broadwater County.

This year we have 125# of tannerite to rid the problem pumpkins. All jokes aside, this event is for shooters of all ages. There have been shooters from 5 years old to 85+. BRGC supplies the Tannerite (this is the only time we allow binary agents to be used on our ranges). You supply the pumpkins (or use one of ours), bring a rifle and some ammo for it (or use one of our rifles), and the time. Don’t forget to bring eye and ear protection, it is mandatory on all BRGC ranges.

We’ll mix the binary agent up and put in a pumpkin, then you can take the pumpkin to its final resting place at 100 yards (it’s more fun at 100 yards than 200 yards). BRGC will have Range Safety Officers onsite to coordinate safe times to shoot or to place pumpkins.

There will also be a donation jar if you wish to donate to the BRGC Rocky Fund/Youth fund. The Rocky Fund supports youth in Montana with traveling scholarships, purchase of equipment for 4H shooting sports, and any other youth outdoor events.

This event is a blast (LOL), it is also FREE, and everyone is guaranteed to have a good time (especially the pumpkins).

BlastO’Lanterns is sponsored by Broadwater Rod and Gun Club and Capital Sports in Helena. Please contact us at (406)2098651 or broadwaterrodandgun@gmail.com with any questions.
