Upcoming Canyon Ferry Road Closure

Canyon Ferry Road, which allows access across the dam, will close on September 26–29 from 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. each day for necessary repairs.
According to a September 12 Bureau of Reclamation press release, work includes replacing electrical components in the gantry crane. “Travelers must seek alternate routes, north and south of the dam during the closure period,” states the press release. “However, emergency vehicles and first responders will be allowed to pass over the dam …, but may face delays of approximately 15 minutes.
