Letter To The Editor: I Support Nick Rauser For Sheriff

I am writing this in support of Nick Rauser for Sheriff.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Nick for over 26 years. I also grew up in Townsend, and many years ago worked for the Broadwater County Sheriff’s Office.
What the many residents in and around Townsend probably don’t know, is how many of their sons and daughters have gone on to work as peace officers within the state of Montana and abroad. Having met and known many of them professionally, I feel Nick is the best fit for the role of Sheriff. Entering my 17th year in the law enforcement profession, I can’t think of a better experienced candidate for Sheriff of my home county. This comes with the many individuals I have met across Montana during my time as a police officer.
While I have moved on to another area of our great state, I have continued to remain in contact with Nick. I have the utmost respect for him as a person and a fellow peace officer in Montana. When I first found out about his intent to run as Sheriff, I immediately knew he would be a phenomenal public servant for all of you.
While I no longer live within the county, if I did, my vote would be with Nick. Hands down he has the most experience to lead your county’s Sheriff’s Office. Nick is the only candidate who possesses the integrity and respect amongst the law enforcement community, and to represent all of you in the manner you expect and deserve.
