4-H Fair Results 2022

Each year, local 4-H youth come together for competition and camaraderie at the County Fair. Youth members spend hours baking the finest foods, grooming and caring for their animals, shining their boots, and a multitude of other preparations to showcase a year’s hard work. This year was no exception with another great year for Broadwater County 4-H with 105 4-H members and 620 exhibits.

INDOOR EXHIBITS:

Members participating with 4-H indoor exhibits received special awards and had the opportunity to partici­pate in a silent auction with their 4-H-made goods. There were 23 items sold in the silent auction which raised $810. The overall 4-H Indoor Exhibitor Senior Grand Champion was Colton Noyes and Reserve Champion was Codie Skillman. Overall Junior Grand Champion Exhibitor was Kaitlyn Noyes and Reserve was Kyla Meissner. See the chart below for the category winners for indoor exhibits.

On Saturday, top livestock showman participated in the Round Robin Showmanship Contest. In the contest, participants show every species to determine a top overall showman. The Senior Grand Champion Round Robin Showman was Cassidy Flynn and Reserve Champion was Colton Noyes. The Junior Grand Champion Round Robin Showman was Spencer Braaten and Reserve Champion was Grace Kroeger.

Last, but certainly not least, this was a record year at the 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale. The sale auction total was $301,091.50 with 82 animals sold.
