Townsend School District Is Looking Forward To The Upcoming School Year!

Registration is open, and enrollment continues to grow. We are very excited to be in the new school, which will allow for innovative learning and varied experiences for our students. The project is on budget and on time. The Townsend School Board, community, and project leads were just ahead of the curve and able to make challenging decisions promptly, allowing the materials needed to be here for construction on time. The school has appreciated the partnership with Hulteng, A&E Design and Dick Anderson Construction throughout the process. We look forward to having a ribbon-cutting ceremony in August and involving the community in opening the new school.
The district is considering the construction of an additional two classrooms with the remainder of the budget since the project is currently under the expected costs. The addition will help with the unprecedented growth over the last year and future years. If we move forward with the addition now, it will be at a fraction of the cost since the teams are still on site.
We are currently working on filling all positions for next year; please check the website for openings and opportunities with the Bulldog team.
We appreciate the years our dedicated staff has served with the Townsend School District and look forward to welcoming new, highly qualified staff to the team. This year we are also looking forward to a robust adult education program and diverse learning opportunities for community members of varying ages and interests.
The main entrance for the summer is the door near the admin office on Cedar Street and the library is now open. However, please be cautious of the construction in progress and pay at¬tention to signs.
Camps are being held offsite in partnership with STOKE and have been a great success! We want to thank all families and community members for supporting their students and the school last year and in the upcoming school year!
