Chairman Prepares For Rodeo Parade

Rodeo Parade Chairman, Kathy Toombs, announced today that Pat Plantenberg and Mary Mistek will be the Parade Marshals for the 59th annual Broadwater Rodeo Parade. The theme of the parade is Country Pride — County Wide. Plantenberg and Mistek were chosen as Marshals because of their extensive community service in Broadwater County.

The parade begins at noon on August 7 and travels down Broadway beginning at Pine Street.

According to Toombs, the parade entries are separated into seven categories which include cowboys and costume riders, drill teams, antique autos, tractors and machines, commercial floats, animal-drawn teams, buggies and carts, organizations, and walking and riding individuals.

Entries should register at Massa Park on Broadway be¬ginning at 10:30 a.m.

Only registered entries will be eligible for plaques and ribbons.

Floats, cars and commercial entries will line up on South Pine Street at Heritage Park. The National Guard, horses, fire trucks, political candidates and large vehicles line up on North Pine.
