She is the most compassionate yet the most competitive girl around. Determination has kept this girl pushing for the most worthwhile experience throughout anything and everything she does. In the midst of school sports, club sports, organizations, and school, Alice Brummer has always found the time to spend time with her family and friends.
Alice has been in a large variety of clubs and sports. She has been involved with FCCLA, STOKE, Student Council, Volleyball, Club Hockey, and Golf. She was the vice president of the senior class, president of the FCCLA, captain of the Club Hockey team, and an active director within the STOKE community. She has played hockey for two years, volleyball for two years, and golf for four years.
Hockey has been the most impactful sport for Alice Brummer because of, “the amazing relationships [she] has gained throughout the years”. In hockey, Alice plays Center. This position requires a specific set of stress-handling, sport-based skills, and leadership skills to accomplish the goals of the team. This player runs all of the offensive plays, including starting the game, if need be. In addition, they ensure that other hockey players on her team can receive the puck to have a better chance of scoring.
FCCLA has been the most impactful club she has been involved in. Ms. Ries noticed the potential that Alice had to be an impactful leader for herself, her club community, and her state. She recognized this and took full advantage of this opportunity. She received the chapter president position because of her growth in her leadership skills, her ability to handle stressful situations and her additional ability to be understanding. Throughout this club experience, she is proud of her growth where she has learned so much about herself as well as her community.
Alice will miss all of the teachers who have influenced her. Every one of the teachers set aside their personal problems to not only teach information that will be used for life but to show compassion and care toward the students. After high school, Alice plans to attend Montana Tech for Computer Technology Engineering. In addition, she has possible plans to play golf for their women’s team. She plans to implement this into her dream job which allows for travel and selling her software.
This time is extremely exciting for her and opportunities abound for this girl. There is so much potential she has if she will only open herself to new ideas, improvement, and opportunities. Alice will go far and as she makes periodic trips back to Townsend, we are excited to see her growth and her success unfold.
