“Drama” is one of the best words to describe Trista Moos. This isn’t the mischief idea of drama, but the entertainment skill of showing drama on a stage platform. Trista has always been a creative soul who loves bringing emotion to her audience and joy to those around her. Her unique personality attracts those around her from far and wide.
Before moving to Townsend at age five, Trista moved between Las Vegas and Missoula with her mom. She was blessed with two younger brothers, Ryker, a seventh-grade student, and Quade, a second-grade student. She has a family full of entrepreneurs including her mother who owns Cottonwood Creations and her father who owns Lite Electric. Her parents have instilled in her the ability to recognize valued leadership positions and appreciate a hard work ethic. In final words about her home life, she said, “My family is chaotic at times, but I love them nonetheless.”
Trista has been involved in FCCLA and Speech and Drama for three years. From 2022-2023, she served as the District 2 Vice President; from 2023-2024 she has been fulfilling her duties as Chapter Vice President of her FCCLA career. Though she has held high leadership positions in FCCLA, she strongly believes that Speech and Drama has been the most impactful for her and her high school career. “[Speech and Drama] showed me what it was like to have a home away from home… This team has shown me unconditional love and supported me through the good and bad times.” Trista stated, in addition, that her coach has also been highly impactful in her career, “Coach Bakkum has given me a place where I can be myself and I will forever be grateful for her.”
Trista plans to continue her Speech and Drama-related adventure after high school. She plans to attend the University of Montana in Missoula to major in Theatre Arts and minor in Theatre Education. After college, she plans to use this degree to be a drama teacher and instill that same comforting space that her coach, Mrs. Bakkum, has provided her to her future students. When she leaves she will miss the teachers that kept her moving forward positively even when they didn’t realize it. Trista is destined for greatness and the community has played a substantial role in helping her achieve those dreams.
