New Farmers Market Manager

Farmers Market

I believe it only fitting to let our customers and the community know of the changing of the guard at the Farmers Market. For thirteen years Chris and I have been faithful to the market for Townsend and Broadwater County. Chris was the market manager and in that time we did not miss a Thursday market day. But like it or not age is creeping up on us and the ability to keep up the pace is more difficult.

At our annual winter business meeting of vendors and interested persons, a unanimous vote of confirmation was given to Sheree Beauchamp to be the new market manager. Sheree is very qualified having administrative experience in the Civil Service with the Military.

She and her husband Sam own and operate Hardway Farm in the Radersburg area and have been vendors at the market for 6 years with goat milk soaps and lotions. Their farm-fresh eggs are also available. This past market season they added a food vending service in which Sam prepares wonderful mouth-watering smoked brisket, Texas style, in their smokehouse trailer. My taste buds can attest to that! Many of you have seen them at the market and have experienced the great food they prepare. Just for the record, Sam was a chef in the Navy.

They come with new energy bringing new ideas to enhance the market. So, any questions about the market should now be addressed to Sheree as the new market manager. Call her at 406-465-4977. We are happy to pass the baton to Sheree and Sam Beauchamp.

The Hettinger Farm will still be attending the market with all the goodies we produce. We want to thank each and every one of you who have encouraged, helped and patronized the Townsend Farmers Market over the years. Like last year the market will open at the end of May which is only three months away.

See you there!
