The criminal docket in Judge Micheal McMahon’s courtroom on Friday, February 9 is as follows:

Micheal Coyle had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty by Alford Plea to sexual assault of children under the age of 16, possession of child pornography, and distribution of child pornography. In his elocution, Coyle said that he asked for, and was sent one or more pictures of a minor under the age of 16 and showed those pictures to one or more people. A Pre-Sentence Investigation is ordered, as well as a psycho-sexual evaluation. Because of the backlog of evaluations: Sentencing will be on June 14, 2024, at 1:30 pm.

Shadow Robbins had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to a charge of fourth or subsequent DUI. Omnibus is due March 15; Pre-Trial is set for April 12; with the Jury Trial scheduled for June 10.

John Loving had a Status Hearing. He missed his Pre-Trial Conference. An arrest warrant is issued.

Randall Buffington had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to an amended charge of criminal endangerment. In his elocution, he stated that he created a substantial risk of injury or death to another person. He is Sentenced to five years, all deferred; he must pay restitution of medical bills, totaling $638.23 and attend 40 hours of anger management. He must abide by the conditions set forth in the Plea Agreement.

Tanner York appeared from the Yellowstone County Detention Facility; seeking a furlough to begin treatment. He has a bed date at Recovery Centers of Montana. He is incarcerated on charges of burglary and theft in both Gallatin and Yellowstone Counties. He has been granted a furlough from Yellowstone County to attend treatment. The judge warned York that Recovery Centers of Montana is an open campus; meaning no bars or locks to secure him. If he leaves there on his own, he would be charged with escape and the consequences of that.

Micheal Billedeaux had an Evidentiary Hearing on a Petition to Revoke a suspended sentence. He is accused of 1) failure to remain law-abiding and 2) bail jumping. He did not appear for a court hearing which he had prior knowledge of. He is Sentenced to five years at Montana State Prison, not suspended. He receives 133 days credit time served. His Sentence is to run concurrent to other county’s violations. He is to be screened for appropriate D.O.C. treatment. He is to pay fees and surcharges of $80.
