Several ski parties were held in Deep Creek canyon Sunday. The snow was good and the temperature warm and what could be better than a romp in the snow. This was the way several parties felt last Sunday when they took to the hills with sleds and skis.
At the Shaw camp Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Broderick, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Graveley and Mrs. and Mrs. D.L. Hollaway had a supper party after an afternoon out.
At Rillway camp, Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Hollaway, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh J. Sweeney, Mrs. Cora Poole, Miss Ann Novotny and Miss Vie Bydeley enjoyed a Dutch oven dinner cooked in the big open fireplace and games of Zion Check, after practicing skiing and tobogganing on Hay Stack Bar in the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Magruder and members of the Tony Petersen family were out to their camp and took in the snow festival all afternoon, as did a number of the younger townspeople in Slater Bowl, even though the ski tow is not operating yet.
Harold Slater and several young skiers started out early and made about a 10 mile ski trip in the mountains.
