Final papers were signed Wednesday which transferred land belonging to Louis Green to the Bureau of Reclamation. The land involved has Green’s Processing Plant located on it. This has been in litigation several years and was brought about by flooding conditions along the Missouri River caused by ice jams.
Several pieces of property in the area have been purchased by the Bureau over the last few years. The River Inn and the River Inn Motel cabins belonging to Lester Goodwin were among the first bought by the government. Also the farm land along the river belonging to Paul Ragen was awarded damages and an easement was secured by the Bureau regarding future damage.
